GRIP ON mASH
To assist professionals in early recognition of MASH-patients at risk, Julius Clinical has designed
‘Global Research Initiative for Patients screening on MASH’ (GRIP on MASH).
One of the greatest challenges when dealing with MASLD/MASH is early recognition of patients at risk. For this purpose several strategies have been suggested by international scientific organizations. However, implementation of a structured patient care pathway in which primary care physicians and specialists work together, has not been set in most countries.
GRIP on MASH is a multinational program in which patients at risk (with diabetes mellitus, obesity, hypertension or the metabolic syndrome) will be screened for the presence of MASLD and MASH. In 10 European countries, primary care physicians and specialists hepatologists, endocrinologists, diabetologists will work closely together to screen 10,000 patients using non-invasive tests (blood sampling and Fibroscan) setting up a databank with detailed information on each individual patient.
